UK and European stocks are lower this morning following Asian markets lower. Data released this morning shows that annual inflation in the UK increased to 1.5% (1.4% forecasted) the highest reading since March last year. In the US, the FOMC are due to release minutes from the last Fed meeting later today and will be watched closely for clues regarding the central bank’s next move as inflationary pressure increases.
Bitcoin is also in focus after it fell heavily on China’s announcement that it will crackdown on payments by crypto currency.
