The chances of a last-minute Brexit deal were “receding” according to a UK government official on Friday but talks resume later today in the hope that a post-Brexit trade deal can be finalised. Stocks are lower this morning and the Pound is sharply lower today having reached its strongest level since mid-2018 on Friday.
US futures are also lower today but had a strong finish on Friday despite disappointing jobs data that showed far fewer jobs were created in November than had been anticipated.
