Stocks pull back following US futures lower

UK and European stocks opened lower this morning giving back some of the gains made this week.

On Wednesday European and US stocks were mostly higher on vaccine optimism and US technology stocks bounced back from weakness on Monday and Tuesday. Sentiment is still focused on the hope for more positive vaccine news. The FTSE 100 reached its highest level since early June on renewed Brexit optimism and positive corporate news.
