UK and European stocks are modestly higher this morning. Markets are focused today on the runoff elections in Georgia that could potentially give Democrats control of the U.S. Senate and empower Joe Biden. Markets also remain very much focused on coronavirus developments with the UK setting a new record in cases and the economic impact of tighter restrictions around the world.
